Overview & Context
As part of his freelance web development and graphic design practice in Marrakech, Ali Ouarzazi designed his personal professional business card. The goal was to produce a clean, practical physical card for client meetings and business events, providing immediate direct contact details while projecting professional rigor.
Strategic Goal
During in-person meetings with local businesses, hospitality owners, and founders, handing over a card remains a customary touchpoint. The card needed to focus on essentials: clearly highlighting core capabilities, providing crisp contact details, and emphasizing visual identity without clutter.
Technical and functional requirements
Organize professional information cleanly across a compact 85 x 55 mm format, strictly respecting prepress print constraints and visual reading hierarchy.
- • Two-sided functional hierarchy: visual identity and professional title on the front, full contact details on the back.
- • Standardized prepress template with 3 mm inner safety margins and 2 mm bleed for accurate guillotine trimming.
- • Rigorous typographic selection favoring contrasting weights and legible type sizes for every informational level.
- • Color optimization using a balanced rich black background and pure 100% K body text to prevent misregistration blur.
